One option for a day’s trip is to the XXL ski resort of Trois Vallées with its 600 kilometres of pistes, on the other side of the mountain. Only 17 kilometres away from Aussois the gondola lift in Orelle takes you directly into the 3 valleys piste network. Skiers can reach Orelle on the weekly shuttle bus.

Cross-country skiers will also enjoy paying a visit to the ski resort of Aussois. A total of 30 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails spread out across the “domaine nordique du Monolithe” in 5 different trails to suit all levels, including skate skiing trails. They start around 800 metres east of Aussois in the direction of Sardières or in the little neighbouring village.
