La Norma – Skiing heaven for families and beginners La Norma (1350-2750 m)

The fact that around 90 per cent of the total of 65 kilometres of runs are either beginner, intermediate or advanced means that the ski resort of La Norma is ideal for inexperienced or new skiers. You can reach the runs directly from the resort accommodation of the same name and the 12 ski lifts provide quick access to any of the slopes.

Another advantage of the small ski resort is its location. From the station at La Norma at 1350 metres, situated on a wide forest plateau in front of the Vanoise-Massiv and the Arc valley, the network of runs stretches up to 2750 metres and finishes just below the summit of La Norma. The ski resort’s altitude and its orientation, facing north-west, means that skiers can enjoy perfect skiing conditions for the whole winter. In addition, over 100 snowmaking systems ensure guaranteed fun on the slopes.

In the ski resort of La Norma beginners can enjoy skiing down simple, long slopes through the beautiful, unspoilt natural landscape. More adventurous skiers can find more demanding runs higher up, as well as some other highlights.

Nursery slopes and powder snow slopes

These include a snow park and a snowboard cross trail as well as a freeriding area near the Pracarra run. Several powder snow slopes and a slalom run provide everything that a professional skier needs in La Norma. Not far from the station there is also a flood-lit run for some really special evening skiing.

With a La Norma lift pass skiers also get reduced-price access to the neighbouring ski resorts of Aussois, Valfréjus and the XXL skiing area of Trois Vallées. Orelle only lies 15 kilometres away from La Norma, and from there you can reach the famous huge ski resort by gondola lift in only 20 minutes, where you will find a network of over 600 kilometres of runs.
