Convincing Newcomer-Skiing Region
As one of the youngest French skiing regions and due to its relatively small total ground area of approx. 75 square kilometres, Valfréjus is still underestimated. However, the region has much to offer at altitudes between 1.550 and 2.730 meters. Especially beginners and families value some of the very long slopes for extensive practicing, most of them leading through romantic larch woods in the lower regions. Most of the 65 downhill kilometres are easy to medium-hard slopes, but skin professionals will find challenges especially in the higher regions. Next to very good deep snow slopes and off piste options for freeriders, advanced skiers can also enjoy mogul slopes.
With a total of 7 lifts the skiing region Valfréjus is also ideally equipped regarding infrastructure and allows skiing vacationers to explore the network of slopes quickly and easily. For even shorter connections, the lifts were expanded by two state-of-the-art units in the winter season of 2009/2010. Since then, the 8-person chairlift Arrondaz brings you up to the Plateau d'Arrondaz at an altitude of 2.200 meters, where the main area with snow guarantee is located. With the chair lift Punta Pagna that can be coupled, the peak station on the mountain Punta Bagna at 2.737 meters can be reached quickly and easily.
Skiing vacationers in Valfréjus that want to enjoy a slightly larger range of slopes for a day have the option of using the surrounding skiing regions La Norma and Aussois with a total of 120 kilometres of slopes thanks to a ski pass cooperation. The nearby skiing region Les Trois Vallées is also available with a day pass for half of the regular price.
Next to the countless very good off piste options, snowboarders will find what they are looking for in the especially built and well equipped Snowpark in the skiing region Valfréjus.
Small Winterport athletes are well cared for in the skiing school, the ski kindergarten and the day nursery.

Families will find versatile leisure activity offers and ice-skating trips to the neighbouring national park Vanoise all the way to adventurous activities like paragliding and helicopter skiing.
Various restaurants in Valfréjus invite you to relax, rejuvenate and try typical Savoyian specialities. The car-free city centre is perfect for shopping sprees and the centrally located entertainment street of Valfréjus is a popular meeting point for Aprés-Ski-Fans.
