Here, beautiful beginner pistes can also be found, which emerge to be thoroughly harmless despite their names Mephisto, Faust and Lucifer. In contrast, experienced skiers can discover steep pistes and broad powder snow slopes almost everywhere narrow. Here, the slopes of La Pente à Jules or La Combe du Gers, a superb, guarded powder snow area are particularly recommended. The huge advantage of the ski resort Flaine is demonstrated on every piste - irrespective of whether it is blue or black. Every descent leads right back into the resort and therefore right to the house door, so to speak. Except, of course, if you decide to make a detour into the lower-lying ski resorts of Les Carroz or Samoëns via the Tete du Pré des Saix.
The unique panorama around Flaine can probably be enjoyed in the most relaxed manner during a long cross-country skiing tour. In total there is a 13 kilometre long network of cross-country ski runs available for every experience level, of which there are ten kilometres of skating tracks.
For snowboarders in Flaine, there is the freestyle park “Jampark Pro” with a huge offer of specials, such as a quaterpipe, tables, rails, walls and a boardercross course. Here, there is also the possibility of celebrating snow parties or organising a barbecue.
The young skiers in Flaine can look forward to a children’s practice area with magic carpet lift, a ski kindergarten and a children’s ski school.
From the piste into the museum or with the quad on the ice
