Les Menuires – the family ski village Les Menuires (1850 m)

logo

A sunny skiing village for the whole family – this is what Les Menuires is to its guests that value the impressive alpine landscape in summer and wintertime. Located as the middle station of the Belleville-valley at 1.850 meters, the family-friendly skiing village belongs to the largest skiing region of the world, the 3 Vallées, with a total of 600 slope kilometres. The slopes around Les Menuires alone with 53 lifts and more than 120 kilometres of perfectly prepared slopes offer a broad range for skiing beginners and professionals alike. The length of the countless slopes is especially attractive. The sunny location of the slopes along the Southern side often makes it possible to go skiing in t-shirt already in February. Roc des Trois Marches offers especially versatile, medium-difficult slopes, some of which lead to the lower skiing station Saint Martin de Belleville.

The area opposite of La Masse is sunny during morning time and early afternoon, and provides excellent snow conditions even towards the end of the skiing season. Here you will find some of the more sophisticated slopes that are however also manageable for beginners. You can easily find your way to the skiing region Val Thorens from here, the highest skiing station of the Belleville-valley, and from there on to the entire 3 Vallées-region. Passionate cross-country skiers also have a 28 kilometre long trail available that starts in Saint Martin.

Further information

Children’s paradise Les Menuires

Les Menuires is an ideal location for skiing vacation with children already due to its two children’s villages „Piou Piou“ in the districts la Croisette and les Bruyères. Even the smallest at the age of 3 months and up are well taken care of, while the parents enjoy an adult day off in the snow. Small skiing beginners are also very welcome. A free ski pass for children under 5, 4 free belt conveyers and 1 free T-bar lift as well as two special beginners areas are ideal conditions for first skiing or snowboard experiences.

Vacation with a full-scale program

Les Menuires offers a wide range of leisure activities for every taste after the lifts have closed or for days off from skiing. Ski vacationers have the opportunity to spend a varied sports and wellness day. The 4500 sqm large leisure centre that was opened in 2005 offers a large swimming pool with Aquaclub and Spa, a sports and leisure area and a fitness and wellness area. If you would rather go on a shopping spree Les Menuires also offers enough selection. Generous shopping malls and store galleries inside and outdoor right at the foot of the slopes hold 90 shops, 48 bars and restaurants (16 at an altitude), 6 discotheques and clubs as well as 2 cinema halls.

Skiing home

Les Menuires stayed true to its reputation as a cosy and functional skiing station until today – justifiably so. Of the numerous accommodations like hotels, chalets, vacation homes and apartments that provide a total of 25 5000 beds, nearly all of them are reachable with skis, so that the last trip of the day usually ends right in front of your door. The Savoy ski station that was built in the 60ies lost nothing of its charm and authenticity. Next to contemporary architecture, emphasis is placed on a building style following old tradition with wood and stone especially on chalets and hotels.
