Slow pistes and freeride runs
Together with the Haute-Nendaz, Siviez (without Mont-Fort), Veysonnaz, Thyon and Les Collons ski areas, the Printze ski area, which in turn is part of the 4 Vallées ski area, forms part of the area. Light and medium-difficulty pistes are in the majority here, but also ski professionals get their money's worth. For example, the World Cup downhill racetrack Piste de l'Ours between Thyon and Veysonnaz.
For snowboarders and freestylers, one of the best-known snow parks in the Alps, the Centralpark above Thyon 2000, where both beginners and professionals can really enjoy temselves, awaits in the Printze area. Another snowpark and a boardercross course can be found in Haute-Nendaz. Deep snow fans can also look forward to a special highlight. In the area of l'Eteygeon on the summit of the Greppon Blanc starts a 4-kilometer off-piste downhill run that leaves no free-ride wishes unfulfilled.
For ski beginners, who want to practice their first turns in peace, several special beginner pistes have been set up, some of which even have a speed limit of 30 kilometers per hour, so-called slow pistes. Very small beginners between the ages of 3.5 and 6 are in good hands at the snow kindergarten in Thyon 2000.
Winter sports fans, who prefer to explore the beautiful area in the sector Printze on cross-country skis, can choose from 4 routes of up to 6 kilometers in length.
To take advantage of the rest of the total of 4 Vallées's 118 ski runs, it goes directly from Siviez to the Col des Gentianes and from there to the ski network of La Tzoumaz and Verbier ski areas.
Holiday paradise for children
Even off the pistes, there is especially for small holiday-makers a lot of fun and variety. The smallest from the age of 18 months are welcome in the kindergarten of Thyon 2000 and can be cared for all day on request. Children can also enjoy themselves in the playground in the center of Les Collons. Here you will also find the artificial ice rink, which is the ideal après-ski venue with open-air bars, musical accompaniment and regular events.
An ideal leisure activity for the whole family is also a snowshoe hike, for which there are 3 different routes between 3.8 and 8 kilometers around Thyon / Les Collons. If you like it faster, you should not miss a ride on a dog sled or a tandem flight with a paraglider.
Last but not least, Thyon / Les Collons also has an exceptional attraction to offer. The Grande Dixence dam is currently the second highest in the world at 285 meters. At an altitude of 2365 meters, it heats the runoff of the surrounding glaciers to the Lac des Dix reservoir to produce hydraulic energy. Those who are interested can visit all the buildings of the Grande Dixence, as well as make an unforgettable walk along the reservoir.
After a day on the pistes, relax in the Veysonnaz Wellness Center with jacuzzi, hammam, sauna and massage services, around 15 minutes' drive from Les Collons. There is also a public indoor swimming pool in Thyon 2000.
In the evening, numerous cozy restaurants, bars and a disco invite you to end the day in a nice round.
