From the route to the zoo
Nordic winter sports fans can look forward to a diverse range of different routes in Les Angles. 2 spacious areas, l'Espace Nordique du Lac d'Aude in the south and l'Espace Nordique de Balcère in the north, together offer 36 kilometers of routes and snowshoe routes.
Directly adjacent to the route network of l'Espace Nordique du Lac d 'Aude, there is also a special recreational highlight: the animal park of Les Angles. The 37-hectare forest area is open all year round - in the winter daily from 9-17 pm. There are only species that come from the Pyrenees, such as brown bears, wolves, wild boar, deer, deer, mouflon, chamois, marmots, ibex, bison, reindeer and fallow deer.
Entertainment off the pistes is also taken care of right in town. The modern leisure center Espace Bleu Neige is equipped with an indoor swimming pool, an ice rink and a bowling alley. A lot of action even for big holiday guests, is guaranteed on a dog sled ride, diving in a frozen ice lake, snow kiting or Snake Gliss, a special tobogganing pleasure.
For a relaxing break, head to one of the thermal baths at Matemale or Mont Louis, featuring a sauna, hammam and hot tub, both located around a 10-minute drive from Les Angles, offering a variety of spa treatments.
For a varied après-ski program, skiers in Les Angles have a cinema and a disco in addition to cozy restaurants and bars.
