Slopes from Green to Black
Beginners can practice their first moves on a practice slope in the centre of the place, which is equipped with 2 private lifts. Or they can do so on the Plateau de Bigorre in the middle of the skiing region, which is an ideal place to make your first experiences on the slopes. Several green pistes start here, 2 of which even lead back into the station.
Several long blue slopes start from the highest point in the piste district itself, the Roc d’Aude summit at 2325 meters, most of them facing south. Experienced skiers have the choice of numerous exciting red pistes on the northern-facing slopes and can even descend from the summit to the station.
Skiing pros should not pass up the chance to try out the Slalom in the Pla del Mir area and the black Lou Bac piste, which runs directly beneath the Pèlerins gondola lift.
Incidentally, when it comes to the slopes, there are many skiing possibilities for skiers of all levels, because a green, blue, red and a black piste lead back to the resort.
Snowboarders and freestylers can look forward to a wide range of activities. The first snowpark in the Pyrenees was built here because the ski-region Les Angles responded directly to the growing snowboarding trend at the start of the 90s. Nowadays there are several modern funzones scattered across the Bigorre region. There is a slopestyle area located directly below the Roc d’Aude peak and the „Lakepark“ for freestyle and boardercross plus a halfpipe were installed on the Bigorre-Plateau.
The alpine piste district in Les Angles is flanked to the north and south by 2 extensive nordic areas, which offer a total of 36 kilometers of cross country slopes and trails for cross country skiing and snowshoe hikes. Whereas 4 routes are located in Espace Nordique du Lac d’Aude, which are suitable for both disciplines, there are two additional snowshoe hiking trails available in Espace Nordique de Balcere.
