Located at an altitude between 1410 m and 2355 m, Pralognan is a charming ski resort in the French Alps. As a holder of the "Pearl of the Alps" and "Nordic France 4 Sapins", Pralognan ranks fourth on the list of the most important ski resorts for cross-country skiing and skiing in the Savoy. The ski area spreads over 32 kilometers, with more than 26 kilometers of pistes for cross-country skiing. Thanks to its excellent location between the high peaks and glaciers of the Vanoise massif, the ski resort benefits from optimal snow conditions, supported by more than 70 snow cannons, if required. In Pralognan there are pistes for skiers of all levels, but the 4 black pistes (for experienced skiers) are particularly interesting. The gorge of Pariettes is with its 900 meters of altitude on a steep piste, with gullies and covered in powder snow as the most beautiful black piste in the Alps.
The ski resort also offers a variety of options for cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, deep snow skiing and guided ski tours. Snow or ice climbing over the pistes of the highest peaks of the Vanoise massif (Grande Casse, 3885 m, Le Dôme de Polset, 3497 m, le Grand Bec, 3398 m) are some of the features of Pralognan-la-Vanoise. For lovers of other winter sports, such as ice hockey, curling or freestyle, there are on site specially created facilities and the right equipment.
