Siviez - Ski station at the foot of the glacier Siviez (1730 m)

In the middle of the 4 Vallées, about 8 kilometers above Nendaz, there is the small ski resort Siviez, which used to be called Super-Nendaz. Its location at 1,730 meters above the sea level and its direct connection to the ski pistes of Nendaz, Verbier and Veysonnaz make Siviez the ideal starting point for the complete enjoyment of the 4 Vallées Giant Ski Area. Both lifts and pistes are right on the doorstep and offer the highest level of comfort to skiers.

Located in a wide sunny alpine valley, winter sports fans will also find the best conditions for a peaceful and relaxing stay in the heart of the Valais Alps.

A cozy atmosphere is also provided by the traditional wooden chalets, which characterize the townscape in addition to some apartment buildings.

Despite its small size, Siviez finally offers the necessary infrastructure for a successful holiday. Ski holidaymakers have a supermarket, sports shops and several restaurants.

Piste diversity around

The XXL ski area 4 Vallées with its total of 412 km of pistes stretches from Siviez in all 4 directions. Via the Tortin chairlift, ski holidaymakers start directly to the ski resort of Verbier in the west or reach the Mont Fort, the highest summit of the 4 Vallées with 3330 meters and the steepest downhill runs in Switzerland. Two other chairlifts bring winter sports fans to the pistes of Veysonnaz / Thyon 2000 in the east and the Nendaz area in the north.

In addition to nearly 120 pistes of all levels, winter sports fans can look forward to numerous highlights throughout the entire network of four valleys. These include, for example, the World Cup downhill run Piste de l'Ours between Thyon and Veysonnaz as well as several demanding routes for ski tourers.

Beginners can take their first turns in special practice zones. Professional support is available in the ski kindergarten for small winter sports fans from the age of 2.5 years or in the ski school, which offers, among other things, community lessons for parents and children. For the youngest tourists from 2 years, there is also an alternative indoor entertainment program.

Generally, alpine winter athletes have the choice between 2 different ski passes. The Printze ski pass for the Nendaz area, Siviez (without Mont-Fort), Veysonnaz and Thyon / Les Collons with a total of 220 km of pistes and the 4 Vallées total ski pass, which also includes the Mont Fort and the ski areas of La Tzoumaz and Verbier.

Snowboarders and freestylers can enjoy themselves in the 4 Vallées in 3 snow parks, 2 of which are also equipped with a halfpipe, at Tracouet in the Nendaz area, at La Chaux in the Verbier area, between Thyon 2000 and Les Collons.

Nordic winter sports fans can choose between a 2-kilometer-long route at Siviez, another 9-kilometer-long piste at Nendaz and a 3-kilometer high-altitude route at Mont-Fort.

To get from Siviez directly to Nendaz, ski holidaymakers also have a free ski bus available, which commutes between the two stations during the lift times in 30-minute intervals.

If you fancy a bit of variety off the pistes, you can also admire the beautiful winter landscape around Siviez on one of the numerous winter hiking routes or on a snowshoe hike. A 3-kilometer toboggan run from Tortin to Siviez is also fun for the whole family. Those who prefer indoor activities instead can use the two squash courts in Siviez.
