Slopes for every taste and level
Snowboarders also find what they are looking for. The boardercross park in the area of Saint Martin and Les Menuires consists of two areas and makes boarder hearts beat faster for sure. The „Roller Coaster“ provides a boardercross and a freestyle area with two different stretches: a blue stretch for beginners with 2 moguls and 4 rails, and a red slope for intermediate level with 1 mogul and 4 rails. The „Slide“-area is the ideal boardercross stretch for amateurs with elevated curves, moguls and woops. Cross-country skiers can enjoy 28 kilometres of perfectly prepared tracks leading through the picturesque landscape.
In order to provide all winter sports enthusiasts in the skiing region of Les Menuires and Saint Martin with ideal conditions, a total of 410 snow units are available, ensuring best snow quality from the middle of December to the end of April.
Small village with a large range of leisure activities
In spite of its moderate size and village character, Saint Martin has a range of leisure and Après-Ski-options to offer. The 18 local stores offer souvenirs, furniture, and exclusive regional products. Skiing vacationers can purchase or borrow the necessary equipment for the slopes in the local ski shops, and the young skiers between 31 months and 5 years are well cared for in the mini club Piou-Piou at the foot of the valley station in the heart of Saint Martin.
All "older" guests 5 years and up can take lessons with one of the 20 permanent ski teachers in Saint Martin, also offering courses for snowboard, off piste and mogul skiing.
If you are looking for fun also apart from skiing, you can choose from culture, wellness, and sports in Saint Martin. The church of Saint Martin and the chapel „Notre Dame de la Vie“ at the edge of the village offer Baroque highlights. Relaxing wellness and beauty treatments can be booked in the SPA of the Hotel la Bouitte in the hamlet Saint Marcel – not far from Saint Martin. This is also possible in the sports centre of Les Menuires, 8 kilometres from Saint Martin. It offers a swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, hammam and a wellness area. Beyond that, a multi sports unit with squash courts, fitness centre and gymnastic courses is available.
If you prefer outdoor activities, you can snowshoe, take a ride with the dogsled or try your skills on the toboggan run Roc ’n Bob. This new attraction of the skiing region Les Menuires/Saint Martin has 22 curves and a height difference of 450 meters. The start of the toboggan run is accessible from Les Menuires with the cable railway Roc de 3 Marches 1.
After an active day, Saint Martin offers a wide variety of Après-Ski options. Several restaurants, pubs and bars, like for example the popular piano bar „Le Pourquoi Pas“ with its legendary karaoke nights invite you to end the day pleasantly among friends.
A special highlight is in store for skiers that visit Saint Martin in February – during French school holidays. You can participate in evening discovery tours through Saint Martin with torches.
