Familiar après-ski and exploration of the cultural and historical heritage of Albiez

One of the biggest advantages of Albiez-Montrond is that it is a quiet and affordable ski area, for a relaxing holiday alone, as a couple or with the family. The après-ski offer for the evenings in Albiez is designed accordingly. In addition to a dinner with the family in one of the traditional restaurants of the place, you can treat yourself to a movie night in the Casse-Massion. The cinema hall with 214 seats shows numerous current films. Another option is a night-walk through the village with tasting of regional specialties. Football fans can do their sport in a special way: snowball on fields with floodlights. Albiez-Montrond also offers guided tours of the Ecomuseum. On the program of the visit is the permanent exhibition "Le temps d'Antan", which shows the life in the mountains throughout history. A unique opportunity to discover the diverse rural heritage of Albiez. But you can also just marvel at the traditional bread ovens or look at the Baroque art of local churches and chapels. As an alternative to this cultural après-ski, we suggest a hike to Albiez le Jeune. On the other side of the ski area you can admire the Moine de Champlan, a 25m high-natural stone sculpture. A themed route on local legends and other small curious natural monuments, such as the Demoiselles Coiffées and the Cheminées des Fées, make this path worth seeing with the family. It is also worth visiting the Opinel Museum. Here is the history and development of the famous knife, one of the landmarks of Albiez-Montrond described.
