La Norma – A broad offer for small holidaymakers La Norma (1350 m)

logo

The seal “famille plus montagne” has been more than earned by the small pretty winter sports resort La Norma. Short paths and the lack of traffic within the resort are the perfect prerequisites for a relaxed skiing holiday with the whole family. All the businesses and restaurants are correspondingly accessible by foot and the pistes generally begin right in front of the door. Reaching La Norma is also extremely easy. Despite its situation at 1,350 metres, the ski resort, in the skiing region of the same name, is reached very quickly from the nearest motorway. On arriving in La Norma, families benefit not only from the range of prevalent easy piste offers. The range of supervision and leisure offers for small ski holidaymakers also leaves nothing to be desired.

Even children of 18 months onwards are well cared for in the resort’s own day nursery. Young skiers from 5 years old are also very well looked after in several ski kindergartens and ski schools. Particularly exciting for the young guests in La Norma is without doubt the huge choice of off-piste leisure activities and events.

Après ski in the wellness oasis

In addition to the classics such as tobogganing, ice-skating and snowshoe hikes, there are, among other things, dog sledge trips and introductory courses in ice climbing on the programme for large and small.

Both during the day and in the evenings, there is plenty to marvel at in La Norma. Street parades, ice sculpture competitions, street theatre and torchlight tours regularly take place. A unique highlight is also the volleyball, hockey and football tournaments, which take place in the snow. Regarding evening entertainment, La Norma has a cinema and a bowling alley to offer, in addition to the numerous restaurants, cafes and bars.

For an après ski programme of a different kind, the guest in La Norma need only make a beeline for the town of Modane, only 5 kilometres away. There the Aquazen wellness centre awaits them, a 600 m² wellness complex with sauna, whirlpool, hammam, squash courts, fitness studio and spa. The perfect range of offers for perfect relaxation after a day on the piste.

Particular excursion tip: Also in Modane, an underground research laboratory can be visited, lying 1,700 metres below rock, and in which international teams of physicists research the secrets of the universe, like for example dark matter.
