Saint Lary - thermal place and ski area in one Saint-Lary (830 m)

Already in the 19th century Saint-Lary was a popular holiday area in the middle of the Pyrenees and has a long tradition as a spa town. For over 100 years, spa guests have found their way here to have their respiratory or rheumatic complaints treated. In addition, the authentic mountain village near the Spanish border has also made a name for itself as a winter sports area. Along with two younger high-altitude stations, Saint-Lary 1700 / Pla d'Adet and Saint-Lary 1900, the original Saint-Lary Village at 830 meters provides access to one of the largest skiing areas in the Pyrenees.

There are two separate ski areas around both elevation stations, which are complemented by the third and highest slope area Saint-Lary 2400. From Saint-Lary Village, ski-vacationers can either drive to the 9 and 11-kilometers from altitude stations or by gondola and cable car. These can be reached in just 8 minutes from the Saint-Lary 1700 ski station, from which winter sports enthusiasts can conquer the entire Saint-Lary ski area with its 100 kilometers of pistes.

While the Saint-Lary 1700 piste area is mainly focused on families and skine beginners, Saint-Lary has more than 1900 experienced ski professionals and more than 2400 freestylers and boarders in Saint-Lary. In addition to a kindergarten and a ski kindergarten for the little ones from the age of 3, there is also a large practice area with its own carpet lifts, 2 toboggan runs and the Kidpark of Saint-Lary at the foot of the pistes in Saint-Lary 1700 - a freestyle course for little winter sports people from 6 to 12 years. In addition, there is a children's leisure center in the center, which offers a varied entertainment program. Here, young guests from 3 to 12 years of age can play, read, tinker or enjoy themselves in the open air.

With challenging red and black runs and a slalom piste, the Saint-Lary 1900 area offers some exciting challenges for true ski professionals. Snowboarders and freestylers finally meet in the Saint-Lary 2400 area, whose snowpark is equipped with several pistestyle lines of various levels of difficulty.

But not only on the pistes in Saint-Lary a lot of variety is offered. There is also a variety of leisure options to choose from at the valley station Village after the piste connections or for a day free of skis. Here, too, small skiers from the age of 3 are well looked after in the kindergarten. During the French school holidays, Saint-Lary Village also has a leisure center for children over the age of 6.

A visit to the rink and the Bungy Trampoline in the center of the village, as well as a trip to the Maison de l'Ours, where you can learn all about the Bears as a typical animal of the Pyrenees, are recommended for both small and large holiday guests. If you also want to be active off-piste, you can choose between the indoor tennis court in the Saint-Lary Soulan district and the Saint-Lary Village, where holiday guests can play basketball, handball, volleyball or badminton.

Relaxation is guaranteed in Saint-Lary in any case, whether after a day in the snow or an extensive sports program. This is ensured by the offer of the thermal and wellness spa Sensoria, which is also located in the center of Saint-Lary Village.
